National Sales Director, US
Candidate with commercial and political experience, preferably within offshore wind – location Boston
As National Sales Director, US for MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, you will take the lead in developing the company’s expansion efforts in the US market. The main scope of the role is to develop the sales opportunities locally as well as driving the development of a strong network to public affairs contacts in the US. The development of MHI Vestas Offshore Wind’s local presence in the market including localization efforts will also be part of your tasks. You will report to the Head of Sales Americas & APAC.
Your main tasks will be:
- Responsibility for MHI Vestas Offshore Wind’s customers in the US including building a substantial network of key customer contacts and other relevant stakeholders
- Sales Lead for US projects
- Market and governmental relations activities
- Tracking and reporting on US market developments (customers and public affairs)
You have an excellent business understanding and a high level of commercial and political business insight. You have experience within the energy industry, preferably within offshore wind, combined with solid network and project management skills. You are preferably an American citizen with experience working with US government bodies or, alternatively, you have years of experience working with US political stakeholders.
You have a great ability to form relationships and have experience with long-term costumer relations. You have excellent communication skills, are able to keep a comprehensible view in general, and have a hands-on attitude when it comes to establishing a new market.
