Sourcing Supply Chain Lead
Contract reviews, stakeholder and project management (in an international company)
As Sourcing Supply Chain Lead at MHI Vestas Offshore Wind you refer to the Head of Sourcing for New Product Introduction and Cost Management. You represent the sourcing team in customer construction projects. The main responsibility of the role is to understand and translate the sourcing demands of the projects and turn these into sourcing deliverables.
Specific areas of responsibility:
- Participate in contract reviews on behalf of souring
- Identify sourcing deliverables and ensure these are aligned with the category and sourcing strategies
- Communicate and align the sourcing plan with the category management teams
- Ensure that the projects are executed according to the relevant requirements and standards from the customer contracts
- Manage the sourcing risks and mitigating actions to ensure sourcing deliverables as planed
Your practical experience with supply chain, planning, project management or sourcing is most important, but it will be a plus if you hold a degree in supply chain management or similar.
Ideally, you have experience within supply chain or sourcing from a larger industrial company. You understand all aspects of the supply chain and has in-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing. To succeed in this role you have experience with contact reviews and understand the implications of a complex contract seen from a sourcing perspective. Moreover, you must make sure the process framework is in place and that project plans and tracking are on target.
You are a strong communicator with proven stakeholder management skills able to navigate at all levels of the organisation and in cross functional teams. Additionally, it is expected that you work with a high degree of structure and have solid analytical skills.
