The Financial Planning & Analysis team is part of STARK Group Finance and plays an important role in this journey. The team supports Group Finance and the Business Units with financial insights and value creating analysis.
The position as Business Controller offers a unique career opportunity to work with financial planning and analysis in a private equity owned company following STARK’s acquisition by the US based private equity company Lone Star Funds.
As Business Controller at STARK Group your main responsibility will be to support the Head of FP&A, Group and the owners with correct and timely information. You will track and challenge the performance of the Business Units against budgets and forecasts as well as the overall strategic goals of the business. Furthermore, you will assist in building strong performance monitoring tools and help improve financial processes. Finally, you will participate in various projects and deliver analysis regarding performance gaps and potential improvement areas.
With direct report to the Head of FP&A.
Your main tasks include:
Projects and analysis will vary and evolve over time. Some of the current projects include analysis of STARK’s sourcing initiative, bridging the financial reporting gap between Group Sourcing and Group Finance, tracking development in inventory variations and supporting Business Units to optimize their working capital.
Your qualifications ideally include approximately two years of experience from a similar position as Business Controller, Analyst or similar including experience working with financial reporting and performance management.
You have a Master’s Degree in Finance or Economics.
You are a person with strong analytical skills and business acumen combined with excellent communication skills. You are structured, detail-oriented and able to not only handle and understand large amounts of data, but also the big picture. You understand your stakeholders and can transform complex data into simple, understandable data.
You are a teamplayer, positive and robust and you thrive in a role where you can help create value for the business. Finally, you have strong IT skills ideally with advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience with BI tools would also be an advantage. You are fluent in Danish and English.
