Business Development Manager

Lantmännen Agroetanol is establishing a new business unit in Aarhus with great potential for growth. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the unit and its economical results and will also be registered as director for the site. The unit is to be built on a site at the harbor of Aarhus and will contain a modern and technical factory unit with a few employees.

Lantmännen Agroetanol has recently built a similar set-up in Finland and the same experts from Lantmännen Agroetanol will build these facilities. The purpose of the factory is to convert residues and waste to ethanol. While the plant is being built the Business Development Manager will focus on entering new contracts to receive waste material for the unit in Denmark. Future wise contacts shall be made with different industry players with suitable waste products in order to grow the business with a continuous flow of raw materials.

The Business Development Manager will work closely with the employees at Lantmännen Agroetanol in Norrköping and the introduction will be thorough. The candidate must be ready to spend a day or 2 a week in Norrköping during the first period.

The main tasks for the role are:

  • To be responsible for the recycling unit in Denmark and its economical result. The Business Development Manager will be registered as director for the plant
  • To lead and develop the unit in order to increase its profitability
  • To set-up, develop and execute strategic and operational activities in order to improve sales of the recycling services as well as to reduce costs for production and logistics
  • Sales of recycling services
  • Strategic and financial planning and follow-up
  • Quality of the product, including required certifications
  • To ensure that the unit is in line with current policies and guidelines within Agro Recycling Ab, Agroetanol, Energy division and Lantmännen as well as national legislation and given environmental permits
  • Quality, safety, work environment, environmental issues, and economy within the area of responsibility

The right candidate is an entrepreneur who has proven that he/she can commit to a group and work in a large company with many internal and external stakeholders. It would be an advantage if the candidate has experience from the food or ingredients industry.
