Do you have a natural interest in market insights and “What if” analysis?

 

As Risk Analyst at Global Risk Management, you will be part of the Middleoffice Team, which covers risk management and analysis, trade reconciliation and reporting, development of new systems and procedures, value of risk, and tools modelling. The Middleoffice Team is working closely together with sales and Back Office.

The department plays a central role on many levels in the organisation. It ensures that deals negotiated during financial transactions are processed, booked, and fulfilled. That includes global agreements concerning business transactions, risk management, and profit and loss. Middleoffice also ensures that documents are completed according to agreements and assists the Back- and Front Office with information by monitoring and capturing data.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage risk assessments of incoming business activities/products
  • Assist business and support functions in the resolution of complications related to the implementation of new initiatives
  • Identify risks through the review of operational occurrences and liaise with business/support functions
  • Provide deep analysis of internal and external events/incidents and assess the company’s exposure to potential risks and provide effective recommendations
  • Prepare periodic reports on activity status, operational risks dashboard, trading benchmark performance, and risk measures
  • Knowledge of the market GRM is operating
  • Market analysis and interpret market data
  • Forecast analysis

Your qualifications are well-developed skills in analysis, reporting, and project management, preferably from gas, power, or other energy trading company. You have a proven analytical toolbox that includes financial tools combined with a good business understanding, a reliable personality, and natural authority. You can analyse the market situation and communicate complicated subjects in a clear language. You have a natural interest in working with digitisation and focuses on optimising and improving tasks and processes.

You have a Master’s degree as cand.oecon, cand.merc.fib or the like and have excellent written and verbal language skills in English. You are skilled in different IT tools e.g., ERP systems and Power BI, C#, Python, SQL/VBA.

As a person, you are a great team player who finds it appealing to work cross-functional while at the same time having the ability to work independently and take great responsibility for your tasks.
