Technical Sales Engineer

As Technical Sales Engineer at GEA New Food, you will focus on sales of Bioreactors/Fermenters both in-house in GEA towards partners and end-users (food, breweries, dairies). In close collaboration with technical colleagues, you will prepare concepts and product material that can be used by GEA’s sales staff and customers, where you act as the specialist who supports and qualifies the solutions and projects that are best suited to the specific customer’s needs.

With a direct report to the Head of Sales, New Food, you will be part of a newly established organisation, focusing on solutions for New Food Industry. GEA New Food’s ambition is to rethink the future of food production through biotechnology, as the growth of the world population will dramatically increase the global demand for food. Simultaneously food preferences are changing rapidly among consumers who wish to live healthier and with consideration towards animal welfare and sustainability. GEA New Food has been created to meet the challenges within food production with innovative solutions.

Your main tasks are:

  • Technical Sales within the area of Bioprocesses and Food Production solutions, including taking lead in studying terms and conditions, negotiating contracts and prices
  • Linking technological possibilities with customer needs within New Food
  • In collaboration with Bioreactor Product Management, develop sales material, concept material, and presentations of standardised modular solutions
  • Preparing propositions and contracts in collaboration with Area Sales Managers

Your qualifications are a minimum of 5 years of experience from a similar or related position within technical sales in the food processing industry or like. You are knowledgeable about biotechnology, bioprocesses, bioreactors, food production, or closely related industries.

You have a technical educational background, such as mechanical engineer, process engineer, process technologist, or similar.

You are a person with a commercial mindset and are experienced in framing sales presentations, concept material, and marketing material, as well as tools for calculating customer-specific solutions based on modularised standard components. You are also a good colleague and team player with an eye for common goals.

Travelling: Estimated 30 – 40 days yearly.
