Do you have strong experience managing a project execution organisation?

As Head of Project Execution at GEA Liquid Technologies, you will be responsible for projects which contain Pilot Plant-scale to industrial-scale process lines. You will be overall P/L responsible for a growing project organisation consisting of 20 employees, handling projects within hygienic liquid solutions. It is expected that the Head of Project Execution drives optimisation of operational excellence for the project to be finished on time, in full, and within budget to the customers’ satisfaction.

With direct report to the Managing Director, and in very close cooperation with the Head of Project Sales, you will plan and facilitate the execution of projects within the Liquid & Powder Technologies Division. You will organise the resources within the project organisation and ensure that the project organisation has the relevant capabilities to execute the projects. This includes providing direction for the project organisation and securing optimal cross-functional collaboration in GEA.

Your main tasks are:

• Provide strong leadership for the project organisation
• Responsible for Project Execution including budgets and reporting
• Steer and drive the strategic development of the project execution team in relation to the company’s overall business strategies
• Plan, hire and re-organise the department according to needs and growth in GEA
• Develop and maintain strong relations with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance

You are a strong leader with many years of experience in leading a project organisation of a considerable size. You have strong experience in portfolio and project management from large international technical projects at a medium to large sized company. You possess natural leadership skills and the ability to lead and develop people and teams across countries. You have good business acumen and feel safe with budgets.

Ideally, you hold a relevant university degree in engineering and preferably a PMP or similar relevant certification in project management.

You are a person with personal drive and a good balance between being a hands-on manager and the ability to think and act strategically. You possess strong interpersonal skills and strive to balance your internal and external stakeholder management efforts.

Travelling: Approximately 30 – 40 travelling days per year.
