Do you have experience with design of energy plants, and do you want to support the increasing demand for green energy?
As Mechanical Lead Engineer for Design of Biomass Power Plants at Ramboll, you will become part of the mechanical department within the mechanical and plant design discipline, which contributes to the development of green energy plants, thereby supporting the energy transition. The division is highly experienced and delivers engineering and consultancy services on a global scale within the energy sector.
The department consists of 30 employees and has a strong culture that is characterized by trust. The primary focus areas are offshore wind, power-to-x, hydrogen, carbon capture, and gas distribution. Recently, Ramboll started a transition from traditional to greener energy systems, and the department plays a major role in defining technical areas within resources and execution.
With direct report to Head of Department for Mechanical, you will support the power plant team and will work closely with other experts and project team members in a collaborative environment to deliver exciting offshore substation projects for Ramboll’s clients.
You will contribute to the design of energy plants, boilers, turbines, fuel logistics, and process systems to support the increasing demand for green energy. As Lead Engineer within Biomass Systems, you will, due to your knowledge and experience, have a key role in defining the area.
Your main tasks are:
For this position, you have solid technical knowledge and experience in mechanical design preferably within green energy. You have several years of experience in designing and troubleshooting boiler systems and have experience working on multidiscipline projects. Moreover, you have knowledge of 3D design tools.
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
As a person, you are structured and meticulous. You are a good team player and enjoy client contact, and confidently engage with clients.

Traveling is expected 15 to 30 days a year.
