Service Director

Approximately every third chicken nugget is produced using GEA technology. To hold such a market position demands world-class products and outstanding service. You might be the right candidate for GEA if you thrive in an international company and are eager to drive a service agenda.

As Service Director, you will have the responsibility for the service business in Denmark and Sweden for GEA Food Solutions Nordic in the Food & Healthcare Technologies division (FHT). You will play a vital role in redefining GEA Food Solutions’s service business and implementing the changes needed to execute the service and sales strategy.

Your role and responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement service strategy, tools, processes, and pricing across the organisation
  • Steer and drive the strategic development of the business in close cooperation with the Local Managing Director and the Divisional Management
  • Management of the service organisation (10 – 12 employees)
  • Market surveillance, trends, and competitor analysis
  • Develop and implement Go-To-Market activities for new service products
  • Manage and improve the Service Level Agreements
  • Secure an efficient and profitable service business
  • Develop and train the employees and make sure that the team has the right capabilities

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience from similar positions as a Service Manager, Technical Manager, or Utility Manager on larger production sites. You are an experienced and motivating people manager, solid in stakeholder management, business-oriented and result driven, and strong in implementing change.

Ideally, you have a relevant technical education, such as a Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer or similar. You hold solid commercial skills and experience with strategy execution from service or logistic businesses, combined with your interpersonal skills and change management experience, which give you the ability to transform the service concept at GEA. You work analytically and structured, and you know how to execute through management.

As GEA’s new Service Director in GEA Food Solutions Nordic A/S, you are expected to play an active part in the sales and negotiation of services and promote a business- and commercial-oriented customer approach in the service team.

Travelling: Some travelling is expected to customers and to sites within GEA.
