Technical Sales Manager

Are you passionate about technical sales within the food production industry, and do you want to become part of an international company?

 

As Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for technical support and the implementation of ingredient solutions on a global scale, delivered to customers operating within the food production industry. Moreover, you will, together with the Commercial Manager team, focus the business on a customer base in the Middle East.

In collaboration with the Commercial Manager team, you will also be responsible for expanding the application areas, focusing on exciting and new customer segments and markets. In addition, you will be responsible for building and maintaining long, value based collaborations following the defined products and marketing strategies.

With direct report to the Technical Sales Director

Your main tasks are:

  • Manage and coordinate HQ’s Technical Sales activities in the area of responsibility, including close collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, distributors and subsidiaries
  • Manage technical support
  • Implement ingredient solutions on a global scale
  • Prepare and execute the sales plan in collaboration with Commercial Management
  • Responsibility for technical sales to selected markets and customers
  • Ensure optimal customer and product prioritisation
  • Participate in relevant seminars and fairs

You have a cultural and commercial understanding and international technical sales experience from the food production industry. You also have experience supporting and advising customers regarding technical aspects of the sales process.

In addition, you have a global mindset, knowing the value of strategic partnerships and alliances with customers. You have an excellent overview of the national and international market situation and can react proactively to these.

Ideally, you have three to five years of experience within the food production segment and experience in product development. Furthermore, it will be advantageous if you have experience with technical sales through distributors, a flair for tradesmanship, and experience documenting findings and making business cases.

You have an appropriate formal educational background, e.g. a M.Sc. in food science or a related area of education. It is advantageous that you have a solid academic background within the food segment. However, a proven track record working within a food production company would qualify for the job.

You are a strong communicator and a team player with solid commercial and analytical skills motivated by working in a dynamic environment. Moreover, you have strong coordination skills and can work systematically and carefully.

Travelling: Approx. 60 days annually.
