Head of Procurement

Fazer Food Services in Denmark is part of Fazer Group, an international company offering quality bakery, confectionary, biscuit and grain products as well as food services. Fazer Food Services Denmark has 1,100 employees and serves 50,000 guests daily.

With direct report to the CEO and dotted line to VP Operational Development, the Head of Procurement will be overall responsible for all procurement activities within Fazer Food Services in Denmark which includes sourcing and target setting, processes and tools development and management of the sourcing function.

The primarily responsibilities and accountabilities are:

  • Implementation of Fazer Group and Fazer Food Services’ sustainable sourcing strategy and utilization of business area procurement strategy in the Business Unit’s business plan
  • Create annual Business Unit Procurement action plan in alignment with Business Unit business plan
  • Leading and supporting important tenders and management of key suppliers in relation to tenders
  • Continuously development of supply chain transparency in all parts of the supply chain
  • Carry out the business area’s strategy regarding more category management in the procurement department
  • Define target setting and follow-up on Business Unit sourcing performance
  • Leading and supporting Business Unit team members consisting of two employees
  • Implementing function-specific performance management practices, including target-setting and follow-up of KPI’s and steering corrective actions on deviations 

You have several years of experience in procurement within food from a large b-t-b service, retail or other similar midsize to large food company and you have a strong passion for high-quality food. To succeed in this role, you must have solid competences within category management, source to contract and performance management. Furthermore, it is expected that you have experience with Supplier Relationship Management.

You are a strong people manager with drive and for you it comes naturally to inspire and motivate your employees. You have great communication and negation skills, high integrity and you are target-oriented. Collaboration and team work are essential to the role and it is expected that you thrive in this type of environment.
