Do you have strong analytical and business intelligence skills combined with a financial and business-oriented mindset?
As Business Analyst at MAN Energy Solutions, you will play a vital role in providing the financial transparency required for obtaining MAN Energy Solutions’ ambitious strategic business and financial targets. You will have a varied work portfolio, which will include interaction with the business, management of existing solutions, and development and implementation of new solutions. You will have to work with Business intelligence, large datasets from the ERP system (SAP), and providing deep insight to your key stakeholders.
You will be a part of the department ‘Controlling Denmark’ with 22 employees on three sites. The function combines controlling aspects such as financial planning and controlling of costs and revenues through management accounting with the development of data-driven analytical performance tracking reports (Power BI).
Your tasks include, but are not limited to:
You have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar position. Your experience can come from a larger international company or consulting. You have a substantial understanding of business intelligence, data analysis, Microsoft SQL Server, and have solid data intuition and analytical skills. Ideally, you have experience with building dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools). Knowledge of statistics and experience with a programming language such as Python, R, etc. is beneficial.
Furthermore, you have a business-oriented mindset with a focus on the significant drivers, yet the guarantor of accuracy through the details, and have the ability to identify and frame improvements in data and processes.
You probably have a relevant master’s degree in engineering/finance/economics, eg. Cand.merc., cand.polyt., cand.oecon. or similar.
As a person, you are curious and eager to learn. In addition, you are business driven and see sparring with the organisation as fundamental. You are open-minded and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
