Business Controller

Do you want to be part of a dedicated finance team in an international company in growth, where you will play a central role in bringing your Business Controlling skills into play?


As Business Controller at MinervaX, you will be part of the finance team responsible for preparation for monthly and yearly reporting, controlling in Denmark and Sweden, and reporting internally and externally. All bookkeeping for Denmark and Sweden is outsourced to a third party.

With a direct report to the VP Finance, you will play a central role in MinervaX’ development and growth journey by analysing and delivering financial data insights and advising the management and departments. You ensure management reporting and assist with the budget/forecasting process. Furthermore, you secure financial transparency and contribute with deep-dive analytics and performance management.

As a Business Controller, you also analyse financial implications, numbers and data and translate this to the business. You will get a natural role as a sparring partner for the management regarding risk/opportunities, which is essential for strategic decision-making.

Your primary responsibilities are:

  • Assisting the departments with managing and understanding the financial implications of their contracts
  • Participate in the budget and forecast processes
  • Prepare performance reviews and follow up on agreed actions
  • Assisting with maintaining and rolling out processes and procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining the contract management system (Complete Control 5)
  • Responsible for keeping the overview of the company´s financial liabilities
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis by requirement from management and departments
  • Drive development of performance evaluation methods and KPIs
  • Optimise and improve the current budget and forecast process.

Your qualifications include at least ten years of working experience and three years of professional work experience in a similar position. You bring substantial knowledge and expertise in business controlling, reporting, performance management, processes, and procedures.

You have solid knowledge and working experience in analysing financial and operational data and presenting results and risks/opportunities for the business.

You have a relevant education as cand.merc, cand.merc.fir, cand.oecon, HD-, or similar.

You are result-driven, work in a well-organized manner and with high attention to detail. You thrive working in a challenging environment, which you approach with a can-do Attitude. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and work well with people at all levels in a company.
