Compliance Officer

With experience within the financial sector and a proactive mindset

 

Our client is an international company within the financial sector. As Compliance Officer your main responsibility is to help and ensuring that business is carried out in compliance with applicable national and international external regulation.

With direct reference to the CFO, and in collaboration with colleagues, you must help the group companies establish procedures that ensure compliance with the Financial Business Act. The primary areas of work will therefore embrace broadly within compliance including e.g. financial and operational risk. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that a number of processes and investigations are carried out optimally and in a timely manner.

Your tasks, among others are:

  • Structure and formalize compliance agenda and procedures
  • Formalization of an annual compliance cycle of work
  • Cooperation with business to develop, maintain and implement continuously improved policies, processes, standards and procedures
  • Conducting compliance assessments and controls
  • Overall compliance reporting to Management/Board
  • Ongoing research and evaluation of data and market compliance demands
  • Ongoing quality evaluations of compliance standards/procedures within the different legal entities
  • Providing support on in-house training
  • Monitoring and implementing new legislation, rules and regulations

You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience from a financial institution, working with compliance or alternatively, an educated lawyer with experience within financial regulation.

You hold a higher economic, financial or legal education e.g., cand.polit./jur. cand.merc.jur or similar and have worked in an international environment which has given legal and financial (compliance) acumen.

As a person you have strong analytical capabilities, are able to communicate clearly, and interact effortlessly with stakeholders. You work analytically and structured and always aim to deliver the best results. You like to work proactively and independently knowing that you can only succeed through collaboration.
