As Controller at MAN Energy Solutions, you will work closely with the Sales organisation. You will be part of the controlling function across MAN Energy Solutions DK, a team of 24 skilled and motivated controllers, across the 3 sites in Denmark.

It is expected that you will be an essential stakeholder in maintaining and strengthening relations in Sales, as well as securing close cooperation with the local teams in the MAN Energy Solutions international group companies. You will be an intimate sparring partner and stakeholder for Sales in all financial matters, from analysis to reporting, budgeting, and forecast. You will have a direct report to the Senior Manager but will work closely with the entire controlling team to meet the needs of the organisation and reporting standards.

Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

Sparring and analysis

• Sparring partner for Sales
• Prepare and participate in monthly performance reviews and follow up on agreed actions
• Prepare and review business cases for/with Sales
• Provide financial analysis and support to the management for both routine and ad hoc requests

Reporting and budgeting

• Preparation for month-end closing procedures
• Participate in the budget and forecasting processes for Sales. Prepare and verify the budgets
• Completion of monthly accounts
• Ensure correct reporting to MAN Energy Solutions and VW

Optimisation and automation

• Identify and facilitate sharing of best practices across the Reporting & Controlling department
• Ongoing optimisation of financial procedures and processes in the Engineering unit and sparring with the entire Reporting & Controlling department on optimisation and automation in general.

You have a solid financial foundation and a min. of 5 years of working experience from a similar position as Controller, Analyst, or Consultant. Your experience can come from a larger international company or consulting, most important is that you understand how to communicate and present financial data in an understandable and precise way. Moreover, you have strong IT skills, and ideally, you have experience with ERP/BI systems and SAP (SAP S/4HANA).

You probably have a relevant Finance degree on a B.Sc. or M.Sc. level and have, through your experience, become business driven and see sparring with the organisation as essential. You understand basic accounting principles and have a good Income Statement and Balance Sheet understanding.

As a person, you are motivated by changing and challenging tasks. In addition, you are highly business driven and see sparring with the organisation as fundamental, as well as being skilled in analysis and reporting. You are open-minded and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
