HR Director

Can you motivate and build organisations with respect for significant heritage in an ever-changing environment?


As HR Director at Georg Jensen, you will head the Global HR team from HQ in Frederiksberg. The Global HR team covers all HR operational tasks for the European and US markets and provides guidance and support for the local HR managers. The incoming HR Director will manage the Global HR team, work closely with the market managers, and collect global HR data.

With direct report to the CEO, you will be responsible for implementing the HR and People agenda across the company and supporting the overall strategy ensuring alignment across the business. Moreover, you will be the go-to person for, and HR business partner to, the Senior Management Team (SMT) and the business across geographies in strategic, tactical, and operational matters.

Your main tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the full spectrum of HR functions (5-7 FTEs) at HQ and championing of best HR practices; keep abreast of existing and new legislations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Point of contact for strategic HR partner matters/coordination and resource alignment
  • Business partner to Senior Executives/Senior Management team
  • Driving global processes/systems/tools
  • Culture and engagement initiatives – champion and enhance the strong Company Value implementation and related trademark behaviors
  • Provide proactive advice and sparring to business leaders, including the budgeting process
  • Strategic support/alignment across the business area in negotiating with the workers’ council
  • Build and develop HR capability across the business via coaching, workshops, and L&D activities 

Ideally, you have a broad HR profile with a proven track record from a position in a retail/brand organisation with a global presence, commercially and organisationally. Also, you have experience acting as a credible go-to business partner for Senior Management teams concerning HR policies and strategic and tactical action points – from day-to-day questions to transformational projects. Finally, you have experience with local labour legislation and the whole employee lifecycle, from TA to separation on a strategic and operational level.

Perhaps you have a Master’s degree such as cand.merc.pshyc, cand.merc.HRM or similar. You are fluent in Danish and English, both orally and in writing, and it is an advantage if you have experience with the HR solution, Sympa.
