Marketing Director Denmark/Nordics

Are you interested in an exciting opportunity within an industry leader to further establish the BMI brand, raise awareness and grow the business in the Nordics?

 

As Marketing Director Denmark/Nordics at BMI Group you will be directly accountable for a team in Denmark of 4 marketing employees and in the Nordic role with dotted line reporting from 3 teams of a total of 20 employees. The team includes brand marketing and product management, and external communications and PR. 

With direct report to the Head of Nordic Region, and with a functional reporting line to the Chief Marketing Officer in London, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the marketing strategies for Denmark and the Nordics in alignment with strategies from the BMI Group, and to enable demand creation across the country / region that drives sustainable, profitable growth and market share gains and amplifies brand health.

The key goal of this position is to ensure that BMI Group’s Danish and potential Nordics business is enabled in an optimized way through brand led, digital first and consumer centric demand creation strategies and processes that flexibly adapt to changing consumer and retail developments.

Your main tasks will also be to:

  • Leverage and build the strength of BMI Group’s brand franchises ensuring brand strategic consistency across all of the group’s IP. This includes oversight of brand related Public Relations
  • Guide the brand / product portfolio selection for Denmark/Nordics on an annual recurring basis
  • Provide input to product development processes based on consumer data
  • Conceptualize, lead and implement the digital transformation and demand creation strategies
  • Provide regular guidance to market-based sales teams, supporting the ambition to be the best solution provider in the roofing and waterproofing space
  • Establish, guide and drive large regional marketing initiatives that maximize scale and reinforce the strengths of our brands and solutions
  • Collaborate closely with local and regional teams of consumer and business insights to ensure a demand creation approach that proactively meets consumer and customer trends
  • Collaborate closely with the finance teams to ensure the pricing of our SKU’s meets market and brand based profitability targets
  • Establish and implement progressive strategies of local / regional trade shows and show room approaches
  • Constantly drive towards future-oriented solution leadership regarding technology and processes, ensure digital excellence mindset and execution
  • Lead, coach and motivate direct report team. Enable people managers to coach and engage their teams
  • Foster a constant bench of talent and ensure high engagement levels across the marketing teams in the region
  • Identify and implement new process improvement opportunities based on strategic outlook and long-term company priorities
  • Proactively challenge processes, structures and tools in order to improve innovation, transparency, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure information flow within the organisation. Create cross-functional alignment on overarching business topics both locally in Denmark and for the Nordics

Your qualifications include minimum 15 years of work experience in marketing and sales leadership roles within a multinational, large scale, matrix organisation setup. You may have gained experience  from the building materials industry as well as from outside the industry, e.g. from CPG / FMCG in B2B and B2C environments. You have proven people leadership and influencing experience preferably from leading managers as well as proven experience of managing key relationships with external marketing, media, PR and related partners.

You have a Master’s degree in business administration or economics and preferably an MBA. Native in Danish/Scandinavian languages, and fluent in English.

You are a person who thrives in a dynamic environment which is characterized by a high pace. You are ambitious with a global mindset and the will and ability to work hands on with practical issues as well as having the strategic overview.

BMI Group offers an exciting opportunity as marketing functional and strategic leader for the Nordics and you will be a member of the Danish leadership team and potentially in the Nordics leadership team that acts as a management board of the total region.

Travelling: The role requires regular travelling within Denmark, and the Nordic Region of BMI, including to the headquarter in London, approximately 30% of the time.
