As Production Business Unit Manager, Microbiology (PBU Manager) at Eurofins Food & Feed Testing you have the overall responsibility for the microbiology production teams. The microbiological department does microbiological testing of food, feed and water to detect pathogenic microbes, toxins such as Salmonellae, Listeriae, and organisms causing decay such as yeasts, fungi, or moulds.
The production teams within the microbiology department operates in two daily shifts and one night shift with a total of 45 FTEs. The teams conduct a huge number of samples per year, which means they continuously need to secure the right planning tool and daily planning of capacity and staffing.
With reference to the Business Unit Manager you will initiate a change agenda by looking overall at optimisation and automation of the production procedures, planning and processes in- and outside.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Your qualifications include at least 4 years of experience with planning, optimisation or automation in a production enviroment. Moreover, you have had managerial responsibilities, perhaps as team leader or manager of a smaller production unit. You have outstanding communication skills and you are comfortable navigating among cross-functional teams.
You prefarably have a relevant Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in e.g., production engineering, microbiology, chemistry, food technology or the like.
You are a person with drive and you continuously motivate and coach your team towards reaching agreed goals. You have a modern leadership style where you take the lead, communicate goals and direction with focus on employee involvement and have a natural respect for other people.
