Sales Director

Are you passionate about providing customized supply chain solutions within Freight Forwarding to your customers? Then GEODIS is looking for you to be the next national Sales Director with full P/L responsibility as well as management of the sales team and marketing budget


As Sales Director at GEODIS, you will have direct report to the Managing Director and Board Director. You will join The Business Development team, which is responsible for GEODIS’ growth and the entire customer portfolio of GEODIS’ Freight Forwarding segments. The Business Development team is a very dedicated and passionate team, who values the individual for their unique abilities.

Your main tasks are:

  • Development of the business area in collaboration with customers’ needs in line with strategy and ambitions
  • Digitization, optimization and streamlining of sales work
  • Sales and marketing activities, initiatives and strategies for the country
  • Attraction, development and maintenance of service and sales staff
  • Initiate and manage projects regarding organizational development and change management
  • Identify future Global accounts based on current key accounts within the country and cross selling opportunities within the region and manage follow-up
  • Monitor compliance and communicate this on all levels within the company
  • Support, develop and complete training programs in sales, marketing etc.

Your qualifications are a minimum of 5 years’ sales and management experience within the transport and logistics industry, preferably from an international environment. You have a relevant education, e.g. from the fields of management, administration, supply chain management, finance or the like. You have highly advanced skills and experience with purchasing patterns, experience of concept sales, negotiation and business strategy planning.

You are a person with a proactive and innovative mindset, who posses a strategically and tactical way of thinking. You are a creative problem solver and has excellent stakeholder management skills. You have a passion for sales and management, and thrives in a dynamic environment. You are a successful and commercial leader always looking for new opportunities to optimize solutions, processes and business development for your customers, the company and the employees.
