As Senior Controller at SSI Schäfer, you will be part of one of the world’s largest full-range suppliers and component manufacturers. SSI Schäfer’s portfolio encompasses logistics systems, storage and conveyor systems, workstations, logistics software, waste engineering and recycling.

In the position of Senior Controller, you will play a central role in supporting and sparring with the relevant managers in developing and strengthening the business with timely and accurate information and analysis for decision support for daily operations, performance reviews, ad hoc tasks, project analysis, etc.

You will contribute to the reconstruction and further development of the finance department following a significant reorganisation. This position is critical to ensuring that the financial processes and systems are streamlined and strengthened. You will work closely with the Regional Financial Management Team, and the shared service Centre in Poland and colleagues in other Nordic countries.

Your main tasks are:

• Sparring and analysis
  • Monthly project status meetings with Managers, Project Managers, and Project Assistants for performance reviews and follow-up on agreed actions
  • Analyse monthly financial reports for the business, investigate variances to forecasts and assess the latest outlook estimates for the rest of the year
  • Provide financial analyses and support to the management, readily available for both routine and ad hoc requests
• Reporting and budgeting
  • Prepare month-end and closing procedures
  • Participate in the budget and forecasting processes. Prepare and verify the budgets
  • General reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of annual reports
  • Ensure correct reporting to the Group
• Optimisation and Cleanup
  • Contribute to rebuilding the finance department by establishing effective financial processes and systems
  • Identify and implement necessary improvements to optimise the department’s functionality and efficiency
  • Proactively contribute to the continuous optimisation of financial procedures and processes
  • Ensure good collaboration across the organisation

Your qualifications are grounded in at least three years of working experience as a controller or in a similar role, preferably in a project-oriented company. Furthermore, you have a proven record of business partnering, financial capabilities, and an analytical approach. It is essential that you are business-driven and see sparring with the organisation and project department as crucial.
You must understand basic accounting principles and how to communicate and present financial data simply and clearly to non-finance professionals.

Educationally, you hold relevant theoretical education, such as HD-R, Cand. Merc., Auditing or similar.

You are proactive, self-motivated, and able to take initiative and drive projects forward. Strong problem-solving skills and good communication skills are essential. Building trusting and close relations across the organisation are highly prioritised.
