Senior Regional Market Access Manager

As Senior Regional Market Access Manager at Merck, you will be responsible for developing and implementing market access strategies at the regional level to ensure the company’s products are accessible to patients who need them.

With direct report to Head MA & PA, you will lead the MA Strategy and Public Affairs activities in close alignment with cross-functional teams across therapy areas to develop and execute plans that align with the company’s overall business objectives.

Your main tasks are:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Regional Payers, to understand market dynamics and secure coverage and reimbursement for Merck’s products.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute regional market access plans that align with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the cross-functional team and collaborate with the global market access team to ensure consistency of approach.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and developments and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Represent the company at regional conferences and meetings to build relationships and stay informed of industry trends.
  • Provide strategic input to the global market access team to ensure regional perspectives are considered in the development of global market access strategies.

You have experience from a similar role, and you have +8 years of experience in market access, sales, or marketing in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, where you have gained a strong understanding of regional market dynamics, including payer and reimbursement issues. Moreover, you have an established network among the key regional decision-makers and have a strong understanding of the DMC to Customer Value Chain operations.

You have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as healthcare management, business, or Economics, and you master Danish and English professionally, both orally and in writing.
