Market Research Consultant

As Market Research Consultant at GfK you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and further developing a close relationship with a number of key accounts, servicing local and international clients within the Consumer Electronics industry on a Nordic level.

Main tasks:

  • Act as a strategic partner and a trusted advisor to Key Accounts, delivering insightful presentations and actionable recommendations.
  • Responsible for the entire sales process; from identifying new sales opportunities to supervising pitches and negotiating new and existing contracts.
  • Develop sales strategy for key accounts based on overall business strategy incl. targets and incentive components.
  • Drive new business with new and existing accounts
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key accounts in the Nordics.
  • Develop proposal strategy and create proposal document using proposal library as applicable.
  • Conduct client review and post-mortem analysis and document lessons-learned.

You hold a M.Sc. in Business Administration, Economy, Marketing or equivalent.

Ideally, you have a minimum of 3+ years of experience working with market research and insights, perhaps from a brand or category management role in consumer/retail or working as a consultant in a consultancy.

The role demands strong selling and relational building skills, including the ability to understand a client organization and identify the right stakeholders and build trust at senior level. An interest in consumer electronics and gadgets, both product and market development, will be an advantage. Further, you should be able to act as a trusted advisor to the Management Team and deliver background information for strategic decisions.

You are proficient in English and minimum one of the Nordic laguages on a professional and high scientific level, both written and spoken, and you are an advanced user in Microsoft Office. Furthermore, you should be comfortable with presenting to smaller and larger groups of people in English.

As a person you have an analytical mindset combined with personal drive and a positive “go do” attitude. You are dynamic and active in making new contacts and you thrive with working both independently and in teams.
