Senior Corporate Legal Counsel

As Senior Corporate Legal Counsel at Ambu you will support the business globally, mainly with questions related to innovation, international contracts, and commercial legal issues.

You will work closely with devoted colleagues around the organization, with the overall goal of developing new and innovative medical devices to patients. The Senior Corporate Legal Counsel reports to the Vice President, Corporate Legal & IP and will be part of a very dedicated and experienced team.

Your main tasks are:

  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts, i.e. non-disclosure agreements, development agreements, sales and distribution agreements, clinical study agreements, licensing agreements and consulting agreements
  • Provide ad-hoc advice on various legal matters such as intellectual property rights, company law, and various other areas of law
  • Provide support to projects and initiactives
  • Resolve issues and handle disputes, including first-hand advice, collaboration and governance of external legal councels 

You have solid experience in reviewing and preparing agreements and in negotiating independently. The successful applicant will have a proven track record in delivering legal support in the Medical Device/pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

You hold a Master’s Degree in Law (Cand.Jur.) or in Business Administration and Commercial Law (Cand.Merc.Jur.), or are an Attorney-at-Law and have working experience preferably from the industry or from one of the major law firms.

As a person, you thrive on handling a wide array of tasks and you manage to consistently deliver professional and constructive solutions. You have excellent analytical skills and you know how to prioritize and meet deadlines. In addition, you have great communication skills. You are also methodical and thorough, and have the ability to work effectively without losing sight of details and quality. Furthermore, you are able to handle complex business structures and advanced legal issues in a pragmatic, solution-oriented manner. You are committed, proactive and are able to identify and explore opportunities. You have high integrity and strong interpersonal skills. As such, you can interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization. In addition, you have business acumen, the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
