Senior Supply Chain Manager

Make an impact in a fast growing biotech company

As Senior Supply Chain Manager at Ascendis Pharma you will manage the full end-to-end supply chain planning and order cycle for commercial products, ensuring reliable and efficient product supply. You will report to, and work closely together, with the Director, Supply Chain Operations.

Your main tasks are:

  • Participate in planning and executing the launch of Ascendis’ future products
  • Describe and implement necessary SCM procedures in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
  • Manage the operational coordination with CMOs (forecasting, order placement, delivery follow-up etc.)
  • Monitor CMO performance in order to identify improvements to efficiency and reliability
  • Participate in the design and implementation of an ERP system needed to manage the supply chain efficiently
  • Participate in the establishment and operation of an effective Sales and Operations Planning process
  • Contribute to establishing the downstream distribution network
  • Manage the operational coordination with distribution channel partners (forecasting, order fulfilment, customer service, etc.)
  • Participate in the Life Cycle Management of Ascendis’ products
  • Contribute to the development of Ascendis’ supply chain(s) 

Your qualifications are 5-10 years of experience from managing a pharmaceutical supply chain based at least partly on CMOs. You must have experience with end-to-end supply chain planning and order cycle management and have experience with production planning. You have also worked with planning and executing pharmaceutical product launches and have knowledge about other SCM-related regulatory aspects. You have experience from structured S&OP processes. You are an experienced user of SCM planning and control tools, most likely ERP systems as SAP and MS Excel. Moreover, you are proficient in English at a professional level, both written and spoken. 

You have a Master’s Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or similar

 As a person, you are highly analytical, comfortable with numbers, and are capable of acting independently. You have a highly developed ability to cooperate with multiple stakeholders in an international company, both internally and externally. You are adept at planning and are very thorough in the execution of tasks. You plan and deliver in a highly structured way, you deliver on your promises, and are able of keeping an eye on the details while understanding and working within a larger framework.

Travelling: 15 – 25 days/year
