Vice CEO

As Vice CEO for EMD International you take the lead in developing the company’s commercial expansion efforts in close cooperation with the departments for Sale/Market and Consultancy. The main responsibilities are Sale & Market, Organizational Development (establish and maintain the project organization), and Market Development (customer and market strategy).

As Vice CEO you will work closely with the CEO, and together you constitute the Executive Board of the company reporting to the Board of Directors. Both CEO and Vice CEO will attend board meetings.

It is expected that the new Vice CEO facilitates and drives EMD’s strategy processes and pro-actively is involving relevant key players within the organization. As Vice CEO you will also drive the operational implementation of the strategy ensuring that all business plans and business development correspond to the strategic plan.

Your main tasks as Vice CEO are:

  • Close contact to the market and responsible for commercial activities
  • Identify promising business areas and setting up business cases
  • Management of two departments with a total of 12 employees 

You have an excellent business understanding, a strategic mind-set and great management skills, perhaps from project, cross functional teams or matrix structures. Commercially, you are experienced in meeting market needs by combining highly specialized and unique products with the right concepts. You have a minimum of 5 years of experience dealing with international relations- and key account sales. You are a motivating and inspirational manager, who values highly qualified employees with great knowledge and highly specialized within their fields.

You are a capable relation builder and experienced within long-term customer relations. You have excellent communication skills and have a hands-on attitude when it comes to establishing new markets and customers.
