As Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR) at BiOrigin, Novo Holdings Seed Investments, you’ll work closely with research teams to identify promising therapeutic assets and transform them into thriving companies. This hands-on role involves driving company creation, establishing business strategies, and ultimately stepping into a CEO or other C-level position for newly built ventures.

You’ll be expected to identify high-potential projects, provide leadership to research teams, and deliver robust strategies to guide early-stage companies through start-up and growth phases. Your ability to balance scientific depth with business acumen will be key to success.

Navigating a competitive and complex environment, you’ll motivate scientific teams, align diverse stakeholders, and execute strategies in unstructured settings. Your resilience and ability to convert ideas into actionable plans will set you apart.

Your main tasks are:

• Conduct due diligence and assess assets for potential project creation.
• Collaborate with research teams to shape visions and strategies for new companies.
• Build high-performing teams and networks of in-house and outsourced talent.
• Lead the development of business roadmaps and stakeholder engagement plans.
• Translate cutting-edge science into commercially viable biotech programs.

Your qualifications and experience come from both scientific and business scenarios. You have 10-15+ years of experience in biotech/pharma, with a strong scientific foundation and a proven track record in drug discovery, due diligence, and business development. You should be skilled at translating science into strategy, driving execution, and leading diverse teams.

You have a master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (chemistry, medicine, pharmacy, etc.), preferably combined with strong business acumen and an innovative mindset. 

You are an entrepreneurial person and a natural relationship builder. With high integrity and a results-oriented mindset, you thrive in collaborative yet independent settings and excel at influencing stakeholders through rational, fact-based communication.
