Materials and Compliance Specialist

Do you want to play a key role in ensuring all materials used in production fully comply with relevant regulations, from, development to commercialisation. 

At Vikan they have a large focus on the compliance of the materials they use in their products. As Materials and Compliance Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that all materials meet Vikan's high standards and are documented according to the applicable legislation. You will develop and maintain knowledge of materials used in Vikan's products and compliance to ensure Vikan's knowledge is up to date on regulatory and other requirements for food contact.  
 
The Materials and Compliance Specialist will report to the Group Technical Manager and play a key role in ensuring all materials used in production fully comply with relevant regulations, from development to commercialisation. In the future, Vikan has a large focus on developing new and more sustainable materials. The Materials and Compliance Specialist will participate in product development projects with knowledge of materials, the food industry, and relevant legislation. 
  
Your tasks will be broad and cover regulatory requirements, raw materials supplier documentation, migration analyses, declaration of Compliance and other documentation, product development projects, Sustainability, test and life cycle analysis. 
 
You have a master’s degree in chemistry and at least 4 years of working experience. Furthermore, you have gained solid experience in chemistry, compliance, and migration testing preferably from regulated industry, e.g., food production, medical production, packaging, or the like. Through your experience you have gained a solid understanding of global legislation and compliance requirements for food contact materials, ensuring products meet the highest standards and legal obligations in international markets. 
 
You bring a highly structured working approach with a strong ability to efficiently gather, analyse, and apply relevant knowledge. You possess excellent presentation skills and can clearly communicate complex compliance requirements and technical details to diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
