Product Manager

Do you have the drive, strategic understanding and business acumen to define the future of our highly successful mobile battle management systems?

As Product Manager at Systematic you will have a spectrum of tasks, including collaborating with business analysts and Sales to identify new market opportunities and build supporting business cases. You will be responsible for defining and managing the product strategy, business model and release roadmap, as well as support the Sales and Services teams.

With direct report to the Director of Product Management, you will join an established product management team in Defence. In collaboration with the Domain Product Manager for SitaWare Mobile, you will be responsible for collecting, assessing and prioritising input from the market and stakeholders. 

Your main tasks are:

• Monitor and analyse product business performance and competitive situation to track goals and inform the product roadmap and strategy
• Identify and specify market requirements for current and future product releases by conducting market research supported by close interactions with domain experts, sales executives, Services and ongoing visits to existing and new customers
• Work with the domain manager, user experience designers and technical architects to discover and define compelling and creative solutions to new user requirements
• Engage with Sales and Services in proposal work, supporting by providing product guidance and approval of product expansions, and provide them with the necessary product information, sales collateral and assistance at special customer visits
• Participate in customer and market events to present product news and engage with participating customers to discuss improvement opportunities and new requirements
• Work with Defence marketing to define product marketing key messages and thought leadership messages
• Conduct product release enablement and training for the Sales and Services organisations
• Represent the company at conferences and trade shows, interface with industry analysts and journalists

Your qualifications are either operational military experience from a leadership position in the army (captain or major) or extensive experience as Product Manager. This should be supported by a strategic mindset and experience with either decision-making tools for operational and tactical planning or business critical Enterprise Systems. You can quickly grasp and gain insight into product management tools, and effectively translate field challenges into software solutions or features, could also be a strong fit.

You have a military education or a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, software engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.

You are a person with an excellent, natural communication skills and a collaborator, who possesses a curious and analytical mindset and has an outgoing and enterprising approach.

Travelling: This position requires worldwide travel to customer and non-customer sites (10-15%).
