Senior Design Engineer

Take the lead in designing tomorrow’s medical device solutions with Biograil

Biograil is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to drive the evolution of the cutting-edge BIONDD™ technology platform. You'll use SolidWorks software and on-site 3D printing for rapid prototyping and functional testing.

With direct report to the CTO and Founder, you will be a vital product development team member and drive the design process from concept to prototype. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Join Biograil’s innovative R&D team and:

  • Lead the ideation and optimisation of the BIONDD™ technology platform for enhanced performance.
  • Develop and execute plans for assembly, automation, and upscaling in close collaboration with Biograil's Manufacturing Department.
  • Provide technical leadership alongside the CTO.
  • Align resources to activities and progress technology maturation.
  • Generate technical data to support specifications and quality.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry advancements by conducting research and networking with engineers and professionals to support Biograil’s growth.

Your qualifications include 5-8 years of experience in mechanical design engineering and expert-level skills in SolidWorks and 3D printing. You excel in hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and iterative product development. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across and outside the organisation. Experience in regulated environments (CE/MDR, FDA, ISO 13485) is an advantage but not a requirement.

You have a graduate degree in engineering or similar.

You are a self-driven, motivated professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial research environment. With excellent project management skills, you’ll contribute to multiple projects simultaneously. You can work autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional teams. With strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you are able to tackle complex design challenges and ensure quality.
