Join the Antibody Center of Excellence and apply your managerial skills and scientific expertise, making a significant impact in an innovative environment
Symphogen is in an exciting phase as the Antibody Center of Excellence in Servier with a continued focus on the development of antibody-based therapeutic products for the treatment of cancer and inflammatory/autoimmune diseases.
Symphogen is now looking for a Team Manager Stability & Formulation in Drug Product Development to participate in an exciting journey and expand an increasingly diverse portfolio. The drug product development department is anchored in the CMC Biologics function and is responsible for developing the biologics portfolio from early to late stages.
With direct report to Director Drug Product Development, you will have a dual role, partly as manager of a team in the department and partly with a scientific role as a drug product scientist in the development projects:
As Manager, you will be responsible for the scientific deliverables within the team of 6 scientists and the day-to-day activities. You will set the direction for the team by supporting the growth and development of each team member and contributing to the development of strategies and processes within drug product development.
As Scientist, you will be a valuable member of the development projects or strategic initiatives. You will be involved in drug product development and be responsible for, e.g., formulation development, design of stability studies, overseeing outsourced manufacturing, compatibility studies during early-stage and late-stage development and documentation preparation for authorities.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues from the CMC Biologics group and be a member of cross-functional project teams that will drive the project's progression together.
Your qualifications include a minimum of five years of experience in drug product development for biopharmaceuticals and a strong foundation in stability and/or formulation or manufacturing. You should have experience with GMP and regulatory requirements associated with biologics drug development and familiarity with ADCs and combination products. Additionally, you may benefit from experience in people management and leadership (direct or indirect).
You have a Master’s Degree such as a cand.pharm., cand.scient., cand.polyp., or equivalent, and you have strong English skills, verbally and in writing.
As a person, you are independent and proactive, excelling as a collaborative team player who adopts a diplomatic and cooperative approach when working with global cross-functional teams. Moreover, you are committed to professional excellence and quality, upholding high personal integrity in a complex environment.
Being part of Symphogen, you will have a challenging job in a creative, goal-oriented, and value-based environment with a meaningful mission: to advance superior monoclonal antibody therapeutics to improve the lives of cancer patients. You will be a part of a highly engaged and inspiring organisation focusing on diversity, teamwork, commitment – and on you as a person. You will be offered good development opportunities and a relevant benefit package.
