Service Manager, Denmark & Norway

Do you want to play a central role and be responsible for managing the service organisation in Denmark and Norway within an international company?

 

As Service Manager, Denmark & Norway at SSI Schäfer, you will be responsible for the Customer Service and Resident Maintenance (RM) site-based teams, ensuring the delivery of professional engineering services to customers. Moreover, you will be vital in implementing more efficient internal working processes and ensuring customer activities return an overall profit.

You will manage the RM teams at several customer sites in Denmark and Norway. Finally, you will be the host manager for the Visited Maintenance (VM) team in Denmark, being the day-to-day speaking partner and supporting the VM Manager Nordics.

Your main tasks are:

  • Service concepts and standards
    • Be part of and build on the SSI CS Resident Maintenance brand
    • Monitor service operations and be able to identify and solve potential challenges
    • Measure all RM sites against SSI Schäfer Maintenance philosophy SMP and support all sites in benchmarking
    • Ensure full compliance to Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety and adhere to the requirements within the region
  • Leadership and organisational development
    • Manage resources and monitor operational activities to ensure that service can be performed efficiently, in the right quality, and on time
    • Manage the RM teams at several customer sites with an emphasis on Health & Safety, staff recruitment, training, and development, as well as leading the teams so they achieve all contracted SLAs
    • Key role as host manager for the VM team in Denmark
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure satisfaction and collaboration
  • Budgets and profitability
    • Extend the portfolio of services provided by the RM teams to improve the profitability of the teams

You have at least five years of experience in a similar position at a service organisation in the automation/materials handling/M&E contracting/plant or manufacturing engineering industry. Experience with Health and Safety legislation, preferably from Denmark and Norway, and experience supporting automated materials handling systems is essential in managing the service organisation.

Finally, the candidate has strong commercial awareness and business knowledge and, preferably, experience working in an international matrix organisation.

You have a relevant engineering education, e.g., in mechanical, electrical, or automation. Ideally, this is supplemented with professional development within commercial and management/leadership/organisational courses.

As a person, you are an experienced, strong, and motivational leader who leads by example and is a great coach and mentor. You act as a trusting, focused, professional sparring partner towards employees and internal and external stakeholders. Moreover, you can influence and motivate others, driving cultural change and transparency across different locations. Finally, you thrive working with various stakeholders and can communicate effectively on all levels internally in the organisation.

Travelling: Travel activity is expected in connection with visiting customers and local sites as well as travel within the Northern Europe Region when required.

Domicile: Resident in Denmark and willing to be at the office in Aalborg a minimum of three days a week when not traveling.
