Residence Manager

Do you want overall managerial responsibility for operation and maintenance at a fully automated warehouse in an ambitious and customer-oriented organisation?


As Residence Manager at SSI Schäfer, you will be responsible for the daily technical operations at the customer site AO Johansen automated warehouse in Albertslund, including managing a technical team of approximately two team leads and ten service technicians. It will be your responsibility to manage the overall work schedule and processes, focusing on continuous quality and improvement.

With direct report to the Service Manager Denmark and Norway, you will play a vital role in optimising and maintaining the technical operation and ensuring best-in-class operational planning. The role as Residence Manager also contains being the company’s representative outwardly, including interaction with internal as well as external stakeholders, ensuring great customer service and quality of deliveries.

Overall responsibilities and tasks:

  • Management of a technical team consisting of 12 employees
  • Planning operations and overall work scheduling, risk assessments and Root Cause Analyses
  • Budget responsible for the service business, Spare Parts and consumables
  • Build and maintain close customer relations, including ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Conducting status meetings with customers to ensure that contractual obligations are met
  • Responsibility for follow-up and delivery of KPIs, procedures and work processes
  • Assists with troubleshooting and handling – both IT, mechanical and electrical issues
  • Responsibility for follow-up and delivery of KPIs, procedures and work processes, ensuring they are followed, including continuous improvement of these
  • Responsibility for the implementation and operation of continuous improvement
  • Business development of SSI Schäfer’s service business as a whole and in local collaboration with colleagues

Qualifications for succeeding in the role as Residence Manager you have a solid background in technical management and leadership of a technical team of 5+ employees. You have experience in troubleshooting, service and maintenance of both mechanical and electrical installations and plants. Preferably you have experience specifically with warehouse facilities.
